KAT ARAUJO, FOUNDER + CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Kat is a Dominican-American multidisciplinary creative and the founder of Afternoon Culture. She comes from a family of entrepreneurs who imparted a spirit of hustle and making the impossible happen. She left NYC for Baltimore to study Art History & Political Science at Johns Hopkins University. During this time she also completed graphic design coursework at the Maryland Institute College of Art.

Kat is a Teach For America Hawaii 2010 corps alum, and taught 3 years in the classroom. In 2013, she launched a multidisciplinary creative studio that focused on photography, design, and marketing. She left Hawaii in 2017 to be closer to family and to launch Afternoon Culture.
